The talk back will be moderated by Riverside's artistic director Sean Lewis and followed by a small reception. You are welcome to join the talk back even if you have a ticket for a different performance.

Lisa D’Amour is a playwright and one half of PearlDamour, an OBIE Award-winning interdisciplinary performance company she runs with Katie Pearl. Lisa’s plays have been produced by theaters across the U.S., including the Women’s Project, Clubbed Thumb, Theatre of a Two-Headed Calf, New Georges (all in NYC), Salvage Vanguard Theater (Austin, TX), Catastrophic Theatre (Houston, TX), ArtSpot Productions (New Orleans, LA) and Children’s Theater Company (Minneapolis, MN). Lisa collaborates on site-specific performances. In 2008, Lisa created a performance for visual artist SWOON’s Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea, a flotilla of six boats created from salvaged materials that navigated the Hudson River, performing in riverfront parks from Troy, NY to New York City. Lisa’s play Detroit, originally produced by Steppenwolf Theater Company, was a finalist for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. In 2008, she was awarded the Alpert Award for the Arts in theater and in 2011 she received the Steinberg Playwright Award. Lisa received her MFA in playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a New Dramatists alumni. She lives with her husband, composer Brendan Connelly, in Brooklyn and New Orleans. lisadamour.com pearldamour.com

  • January 20 & 27, February 3 & 10: Beer tastings with Kalona Brewery, starting one hour before curtain
We are proud to annouce that during the run of Detroit we've partnered with Kalona Brewery to give you an opportunity to try their fantastic, locally brewed beer! Kalona staff will sample three of their popular flavours - pick your favorite and get the full size serving at our concession stand to enjoy while watching te show!

Located just 17 miles south of Iowa City, the Kalona Brewing Company opened it's doors in the fall of 2013 and has offered a combination of great food and craft beer since that time. Our founding vision was of creating a restaurant and production brewery in downtown Kalona which would give patrons a unique and positive experience.  One question we hear a lot is  "Why Kalona?". The answer is as simple as  "It's where we live".  The menu at Kalona Brewing Company focuses on organic and locally sourced (when possible) ingredients in ever changing world influenced dishes.  Our beer focus is variety of styles and features everything from Kalona Classic light lager to Start Up Coffee Stout and Coconut Abbey Ale.  We feature 16 tap lines to choose from as well as growler fills and packaged cans of Kalona Brewing Company beer to take home for later enjoyment.  Cheers!
