Big Red will be playing the part of Crab the dog in the Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Festival production of William Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona.

Big Red is 12 years old and lives in Solon. He was adopted by Annie, Sally and Joe Tye from a Pit Bull Rescue shelter in Chicago.  Big Red has acted as a Pit Bull Ambassador for more than a decade, working with Witty Kitties, Inc., the Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue, and local events including animal adoptions and parades.

More importantly he is an unofficial ambassador everywhere he goes.  Many youngsters have clambered over Big Red while astonished parents realize that the gentle, patient dog they are petting is a pit bull!
