Riverside Theatre has received $2,000 in additional funds for the Shakespeare Festival from the Iowa City Council.
On Tuesday, Jan. 18, the Iowa City Council voted to approve $7,000 for the Shakespeare Festival, which is a $2,000 increase from the $5,000 the city gave to the theatre last year.
